Study Abroad offers a variety of international study, research, service and leadership opportunities to students, faculty, staff and members of the general public.

A World of Possibilities

We have students, faculty, and staff from about 130 countries. Walk around campus, and you'll hear many different languages being spoken, from Arabic to Zulu.

Mason, Virginia’s largest public research university, with an R-1 rating, is committed to keeping our doors open and accessible to as many capable students as possible.

The multitude of ideas and perspectives our students bring to Mason help to ignite the kinds of discussions that generate different ways of thinking and bring new ideas to light. Ideas that can have an impact on building a freer, more just world.

Each spring, the university comes together for International Week as our students celebrate and share their cultures.
