Take Back the Night Rally & March and  & Survivors’ Speak Out

The Feminist Student Organization, with support from Women and Gender Studies (WGST) and Wellness, Alcohol, and Violence Education Services (WAVES) will host Take Back the Night. This rally will include speakers, performances, and a march through campus to create a safe environment and to celebrate the night without fear.

After the rally, WAVES will host a Survivors’ Speak Out to create a safe space for survivors to openly discuss their experiences. Regardless if it is a recent or past experience, all survivors are welcome to seek and offer support and encouragement.

This event is associated with Turn Off the Violence Week.

Take Back the Night is an annual gathering held during Turn Off the Violence Week in support of the end of sexual and domestic violence and symbolizing a safe place for all. The event is an internationally held march to celebrate survivors of sexual assault domestic violence and understand the impact that rape, other sexual assaults, and dating/partner violence have on our own community and around the world.
